Bibliographical references

Scenario

A description of the scenario that you have in mind.

Independent BibRef search - The user interacts with the bibliographical database like with any other libary digital catalogue - search by keywords, topics, authors, titles, imprints, years of publication, ...

Integrated BibRef support - The user is in the databases, in the cartography or in the expertise areas of the workspace and the machine provides him with the opportunity to get BibRef data about the DB or GIS data he has in that moment on the screen. Says he looks a paper file and sees 'used in Venice', he click on the BibRef link behind 'Venice' and gets BibRef on any publication having something to do with Venice.

  • Independent
    • geographical keywords, subjects, topics, authors, titles, imprints, years of publication, ...

  • Integrated
    • A click on the data (geographical keywords, subjects, topics) he/she wants BibRef about

Output

Things that the user will recieve in response to their request.

  • Depending on the layout of the actual page, the machine can provide the user with BibRef in form of a link to the exhaustive data in the bibliographical database, with a short list of hyperlinked titles, or floating layers (over maps).

  • issues with the classification system in the DB

    • WM type
